I. BILINGUAL PROGRAM – Natural and Comprehensive English–Vietnamese Language Development

For children from 18 months to 6 years old at the Kim Ma campus

The Bilingual Program at Casa dei Bambini’s Kim Ma campus is specifically designed by the school’s professional team, combining personalized Montessori philosophy with a proprietary English curriculum based on Oxford and Cambridge materials. The program helps children naturally and confidently acquire and use both English and Vietnamese without pressure.

Each day, children have 1.5 to 2.5 hours of English lessons guided jointly by foreign teachers and experienced Vietnamese teachers. This “dual immersion” approach helps children develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills evenly, fostering bilingual thinking from an early age.

• Native-level pronunciation, expanding vocabulary and practical sentence structures
• Phonics and grammar developed according to a scientific roadmap, suitable for each age group
• No need for extra English lessons outside class, helping to reduce pressure on families

Typical activities:

The learning roadmap is divided into 3 levels:

• 18 months – 3 years old: Listening comprehension and familiarization with basic vocabulary and simple sentence patterns
• 3 – 5 years old: Building a vocabulary foundation and learning the sounds of the alphabet, practicing expressing desires
• 5 – 6 years old: Practicing fluent speaking, developing writing skills, reading comprehension and sentence writing, flexible language reflexes

Mixed-age classrooms create a miniature social environment:

At Casa, children aged 3–5 learn together in a flexible classroom setting, where younger children learn from older peers, and older children become role models for those younger than them. 5 Core Learning Areas in the Montessori Program at Casa:

Practical Life & Art: Activities such as table wiping, flower arranging, cooking, and fruit peeling help children develop fine and gross motor skills, discipline, and independence.

Sensorial: Children are stimulated and supported in developing all five senses (hearing, sight, touch, taste, and smell) through specialized Montessori materials.

Mathematics: Children are introduced to concepts of quantity and operations through concrete, hands-on, and visual learning materials.

Language: Children naturally develop reading, writing, storytelling, and communication skills in both English and Vietnamese, building a strong foundation for bilingual and international learning.

Culture (Science, Geography, History, etc.): Children explore the world around them, learn about the universe, life, and diverse cultures, thereby cultivating a love for nature and humanity.

Mathematics

When children learn math with their hands, their eyes, and their hearts

At Casa, children are introduced to mathematics even before they can count, through hands-on experiences with concrete materials rather than memorizing numbers. Using red and blue number rods arranged like a staircase, children begin to explore order, length, and comparison.

Montessori math materials in the classroom are scientifically designed to allow children to see – touch – and feel numbers. For example, the spindle box helps children practice placing the correct number of wooden spindles corresponding to number cards from 1 to 9, while sandpaper numerals support the development of accurate number writing through tactile sensation.

When children are ready, Casa introduces the Golden Beads — one of the most iconic Montessori math materials. Children explore large number values such as:

• One single bead = 1
• One chain of 10 beads = 10
• One square of 100 beads = 100
• One cube of 1,000 beads = 1,000

From there, children visually construct numerical values and use these same beads to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with numbers in the hundreds and thousands. As a result, they do not merely memorize formulas but truly understand the nature of mathematical operations, allowing logical thinking to develop strongly from an early age.

By sequencing materials thoughtfully and empowering children to work independently, each lesson becomes a complete intellectual cycle in which children develop accuracy, concentration, and a love for exploration.

 

Vietnamese Language

Nurturing the mother tongue from the early years

At Casa dei Bambini Montessori, Vietnamese is not merely a subject but a bridge of love—a means through which children express their thoughts, emotions, and connect with the world around them. The Vietnamese Language program at Casa is specially designed according to age groups, aligned with the psychological and language development characteristics of children from 0–6 years old.

 

 

For the 0–3 Age Group: Beginning with Sensory Experience and Connection

In the earliest stage of life, children are immersed in a rich language environment where language is conveyed through many vivid forms:

• Listening – understanding – responding through spoken words, facial expressions, and gestures.
• Beginning to express needs and emotions using simple spoken language.
• Becoming familiar with the rhythm of the mother tongue through poems, nursery rhymes, folk rhymes, and traditional verses.
• Forming polite and respectful communication skills in everyday situations.

These lessons are thoughtfully integrated into familiar daily activities, allowing children to absorb language naturally—much like learning to speak within the loving embrace of their parents.

For the 3–6 Age Group: Expression – Emotion – Thinking

With an initial language foundation in place, children move into a more advanced stage of development, focusing on strengthening expression and thinking skills:

• Strong listening comprehension and flexible communication responses.
• Expressing ideas, emotions, and desires clearly and completely.
• Practicing storytelling skills: listening, remembering, and retelling stories coherently with age-appropriate content.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION (PE)

Nurturing health – Building physical strength – Cultivating the spirit

At Casa dei Bambini Montessori, the Physical Education program is thoughtfully designed to suit each developmental stage of children aged 0–3 and 3–6, providing strong foundations for physical fitness, emotional well-being, and social skills.

The school designs physical activities with the following core objectives:

• Fostering a healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude toward personal health care.
• Enhancing body control and movement coordination through exercises that require agility and flexibility.
• Developing physical strength, endurance, and flexibility through age-appropriate movement games.
• Building discipline and cooperation skills through group activities and interactions with peers and teachers.

In addition to weekly physical education classes, children also participate in highly engaging HOUSE activities such as Sports Day and inter-campus movement games. These experiences help spark healthy competition, excitement, and joy in physical activity. Such events provide opportunities for children to showcase their training progress, while parents and teachers come together to encourage, acknowledge, and take pride in the children’s growth.

HOUSE TRAINING

Physical – Language – Emotional

In every physical education class and HOUSE training session at Casa, children not only develop physically but also grow simultaneously in language and emotional skills:

• Physical: Gross and fine motor skills are developed naturally and consistently, from basic movements to exercises requiring full-body coordination.
• Language: Under the guidance of PE teachers, children enrich their language through movement by learning key vocabulary, numbers, and simple commands in a joyful and dynamic environment.
• Emotional – Social: Children learn to work independently and collaboratively, develop teamwork, and practice accepting both winning and losing—building resilience, respect, sharing, and the ability to rise again after setbacks.
• Cognitive: Children’s intellectual development is nurtured across all areas of life through exciting cognitive playground activities such as the “Casa Tranh Tài” intellectual challenges.
